The “Osteria senz’Oste” (Tavern without tavern keeper) has become a must-see for the people that visit the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Hills and even for the locals that want to have a great break from the rush and the routine of the day. Born accidentally as an intimate close friends situation, this farmstead located on the Cartizze hill where the people help themselves with cured meats, Prosecco wine and other local products, represents by now a global messagge of hospitality, conviviality and trust. Furthermore it is a kind of “Showroom” of our territory.
A private property that it is not private anymore but belongs to everyone; everybody is welcome all day long.
In “Santo Stefano di Valdobbiadene”, in front of the Cartizze hill, there is an ancient homestead of the De Stefani family that has been renovated mantaining the main features of the past. In the ground floor there is a fully equipped kitchen and a living room with the “ritonda” (typical fireplace where to gather around) while at the first floor there are two bedrooms with view and one bathroom. The panorama includes the famous Prosecco Hills and the Piave river that flows to the sea; during the clearer days it is possible to see the Venice Lagoon whereas on a starry night the beatiful panoramic solarium on a wooden terrace is breathtaking.
In Combai, well konwn village for its chestnuts, there is an ancient stable that has been recently restored in a really spectacular way, especially for its glass floor, that allows to see the old cobblestones where the animal were hosted, and the hefty wooden planks that divide the rooms at the first floor. The farmhouse offers a fully equipped kitchen, a beautiful living room, two bedrooms and one bathroom with panoramic view. It is completely reflected the tradition of the old farmstead but in the utmost comfort for a relaxing stay at the edge of the centenary chestnuts of the Treviso hills.
